Nature for everyone

We run a variety of programmes and events throughout the year. Many of these are for specific groups but the events below are open to everyone – we look forward to welcoming you….

Our Place Dee Space

Location: Dee Space Community Hall, Thurso Close RG30 4YH

Date and time: Saturday 11th May 1pm - 4.30pm and then every second Saturday of the month

Join our friendly group for a monthly programme of activities at Dee Space and the surrounding area, including art and craft, music, board games, bread making and walks in Lousehill Copse. Everyone is welcome, whatever your age. There will be a range of indoor and outdoor activities for all. 

Reading Walks Festival – Wild Workout Wander

Location: Caversham Court Gardens, Church Road Caversham RG4 7AD

Date and time: Saturday 18th May 2pm

Join the us for a fun walk and hop, skip and jump into fitness with our friendly animals to help you along the way. Set in the beautiful grounds of Caversham Court Gardens, this is a fun filled, action packed walk that will be incorporating 12 Wild Workout stations along the way. The Wild Workout activities are primarily aimed at children aged 2-10 but parents and carers are encouraged to join in, if they feel comfortable. Packs will be available to purchase after the walk.

Reading Walks Festival – Mindful Mouse’s Magical Meander

Location: Caversham Court Gardens, Church Road Caversham RG4 7AD

Date and time: Saturday 18th May 3.30pm

Join the us for a relaxing stroll, pausing along the way for some moments of mindfulness in nature.

Take an amble around the beautiful grounds at Caversham Court Gardens and enable yourself to slow down whilst you connect with nature. Stopping at regular intervals, we invite you to join in with our Mindful Mouse activities, for a totally stress-free experience that will leave you relaxed and resilient, ready to tackle life’s challenges. Look After the Nook

Location: Holy Brook Nook, RG1 6BB

Date and time: Tuesday 4th June, 10am -2pm

Calling all volunteers for our monthly Look after the Nook. Everyone welcome, no experience necessary, just a willingness to get stuck into some raking, cutting, pruning, snipping or chopping. Refreshments provided.

Waterfest 2024

Location: Huntley Wharf

Date and time: 8th June 11am - 4pm

Water Fest is Reading’s way of celebrating and showing off the Kennet Canal in all its glory, along with the gorgeous and historic spots on its towpath – complete with a programme full of fun, music, dance and activities!

This year, Nature Nurture will be located at Huntley Wharf – stroll along to the end of Chestnut Walk and follow the Kennet to find us.

Wild about Reading 2024

Location: Holy Brook Nook, RG1 6BB

Date and time: Saturday 8th June, 2pm- 4pm

The 6th Wild about Reading event takes place between 7th – 10th June. This year, Nature Nurture are supporting Wild about Reading with nature inspired arts and crafts at Holy Brook Nook. Come along and help celebrate our wonderful town and all it has to offer.
